Tribe Overview

The Gauls are the most defensive tribe in Travix. Their cavalry units are the fastest in the game, and their crannies hold 1.5x more resources to protect against raids. They also have the Trapper building to capture attacking troops. They are highly versatile and excel in both defense and swift counter-attacks.

Special Trait:

Defense & Traps: Gauls have double cranny capacity, protecting resources from raiders. They can construct the Trapper building to capture attackers, and their cavalry units are the fastest in the game.

Special Buildings

Trapper

The Trapper is a unique Gaul building that protects the village with hidden traps. Enemy troops who fail a raid can be caught in these traps, preventing resource loss and keeping prisoners until released or rescued.

Trapper & Trap Mechanics:
  • Trap Capacity: Each Trapper provides a baseline number of traps (up to 400 traps at level 20). On this server, this is multiplied by the Trapper Capacity setting (1000x), allowing a maximum of 400000 traps at building level 20.
  • Multiple Trappers: Once your first Trapper reaches level 20, you can build additional Trapper buildings in the same village to further increase your trap limit.
  • Troop Capture: When attacked, traps capture incoming troops before battle commences. Captured troops do not participate in the fight, take no damage, and do not deal damage. If all attackers are trapped, the attack fails completely and no resources are stolen.
  • Feeding Prisoners: Trapped troops continue to consume crop/food from their home village, NOT from the Gauls village where they are trapped.
  • Freeing via Attack (Rescue): If the attacker (or their ally) launches a successful Normal Attack (not a Raid) and wipes out all defending troops, all trapped units are freed. In this case, 50% of the traps are destroyed (must be rebuilt) and 50% are repaired for free.
  • Releasing by Gaul Owner: The defender can release the prisoners at any time via the Rally Point. If released, 100% of the traps are automatically repaired for free.
  • Disbanding by Attacker: The attacker can kill their own trapped troops from their Rally Point. If disbanded, 100% of the traps are repaired for free.

Palisade

The Gaulish Palisade is a well-balanced defensive barrier, offering solid defensive bonuses and moderate durability.

  • Defensive Bonus: 1.025^level (+2.5% per level). At Level 20, defense is boosted by +63.9% (1.64x).
  • Durability Factor: 2x (Requires 2 times as many Rams to damage compared to Roman City Walls).
